'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane dampens on Premier League comeback

Kane marks his hundredth goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has declared that his enthusiasm in going back to the Premier League has diminished and he is willing to explore a new agreement with Bayern Munich.

The prolific striker is at the moment halfway through the four-year contract he agreed to when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the summer of 2023.

The experienced forward has netted an impressive 103 goals in 106 matches for the German team, playing a key role in them claim the 2024-25 Bundesliga title - which was the maiden major honor of his notable career.

Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has previously stated that he would be pleased to see Kane return to England, where he lacks 48 goals to surpass Alan Shearer's record Premier League scoring feat of 260.

However, the England skipper has now suggested that he is no longer as enthusiastic about returning home as he once was, and would definitely contemplate extending his time in Bavaria.

"In terms of staying longer, I could definitely see that," he stated.

"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be open to talk and have an frank conversation.

"Obviously it hinges on how the next year or so progresses and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a fantastic moment and I am not considering about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has gone down a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have discovered in my career is that different chances and different timings happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am completely all in with Bayern."

Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the all-time top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the quickest player this century to achieve 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five leagues, reaching the achievement in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a trophy had avoided him until he secured the German title last season.

Kane states that he was not sure how he would react after ending his trophy wait, but now thinks it has made him motivated for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.

"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.

"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to achieve in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
